LBreakout2 is a very polished breakout game (similar to Arachnoid) that offers more than 50 levels of play, plus many advanced features and excellent graphics.
Basically, you move a paddle to try to penetrate walls of bricks by knocking the bricks out of the way... You get the idea.

FreeCiv is a free turn-based multi-player strategy game, in which each player becomes the leader of a civilization, fighting to obtain the ultimate goal: To become the greatest civilization.
FreeCiv was designed as a multi-player, networked game. You can play against opponents from all over the world. You also can play alone, but in order to run the program, you need to connect to a computer running the FreeCiv server. This is not a problem as long as you have a working Internet connection.

Crack Attack is a Tetris-like game with a twist.
In this game, you have to line up blocks in rows of three blocks of the same color in order to remove them. You use keyboard commands to move blocks side-to-side and juxtapose them to get them in rows of three. Try it. It's addictive.

This is a Tetris-like game played to background music by the British rock group Queen. It also offers some features not available in the original classic, such as a "Destroyer" mode that really perks up the action.
Instructions: Click on the link above and save the file qtetris_141.exe to your desktop or another convenient location. When the download completes (less than a minute on broadband; as long as 15 minutes on dialup), double click the file. The installation will begin automatically.
